WESLEY ANN TERRY of Camden stands proudly with her crew behind the 12 ft 4 1/2 long alligator they brought in to be weighed at Roland Cooper State Park during the 2016 West Central Alabama Alligator Hunt. The gator weighed 547 pounds. The base of its tail was 3 ft 1/2 inches in diameter, and its belly was 4 ft 6 inches in diameter. This was WESLEY ANN’S first time participating in a gator hunt. She says they had to fight with the beast for several hours before she could deliver the final blow. They arrived at the weigh-in station at 1:07 a.m Saturday morning with the largest gator yet to be killed during the 2016 West Central Alabama Alligator Hunt. The hunt will continue throughout the weekend until 6:00 a.m. August 14, 2016, and it will start again at 8:00 p.m. August 18, 2016 until 6:00 a.m. August 21, 2016.
