(BREAKING NEWS: 6:22 am Tuesday) Crashed and Abandoned Mustang owner/s identified–Child and adult male admitted to E.R.

The final destination in black Mustang’s 100-yard tear through the thickets…

…..which ran sharp, staggered, and sopped with evening rain’s byproducts.

MUD–was expected to come in handy to the Wilcox Deputy Sheriff on scene, whom by the aid of a sharp-eyed, bystanding 9-11 caller at last ventured treacherously towards the fading headlights of a far, faraway vehicle.

But there were no footprints. Hardly any tread marks or overlain branches nearby to estimate a point of entry.

It became clear that the driver’s path was not one that was neither immediately hindered by the thick terrain nor by reflexes. The black, ford Mustang was found at last rested against a large stump nearly 100 yards away from the roadway, Hwy 41 s. near Mile Marker 81.

Abandoned vehicle found; Hwy 41 S

The Wilcox Co. Sheriff's Dept responded to a call earlier in regards to an abandoned vehicle which had been driven off the pavement of Hwy 41 South near mile marker 81. License plates on the black Ford Mustang read "MRSGARY". A cellular telephone found wedged between the driver's seat and center console indicated that a call was made at 6:06; investigation began only 30 minutes later. 9/11 dispatch informed officer on scene that a male and child were currently in the E.R. receiving medical attention. However, the male subject admitted himself to the hospital claiming that he and the child had been in an ATV accident. This case is still ongoing.

As if the deployment of every passenger airbag  wasn’t enough to indicate that–no matter how great the distance of travel–a rough ride had been experienced by any and all things inside, three flashlights opened the car doors to venture the chamber allthewhile choking and hazed by various, recently-ignited fuels and murky, compound chemicals which robbed all oxygen from the cab.

It was also empty….

License plates on the abandoned car read “MRSGARY”.

A cellular telephone found wedged between the driver’s seat and center console indicated that a call was made from somebody inside the vehicle at 6:06 pm; investigation began only 30 minutes later.

After learning  the victims were not presently at the scene of the crash, 9-11 dispatch officer informed the deputy sheriff on scene that one male subject, and and one child were currently in the E.R.

Deputy Sheriff on scene gave a passing statement that subjects “caught a ride into town.”

The two admittees to the Emergency Room likely appeared “muddy and wet”, said the deputy. But that the adult male had “said they were in a 4-wheeler accident”. Authorities found it strangely un-useful to lie in any instance, if in fact the two patients and crash victims were one in the same.

The deputy sheriff on scene closed his investigation after retrieving the cell-phone with means to “return it to him” at the hospital.

A registration check links the car tag back to a dual-ownership between Von and Gary Nicholson, of Coy. It is not yet known if either of them were involved in the accident.

This case is still ongoing.
