SHOOTING—Man charged with Murder in Pine Hill

 

A man has been charged with Murder by the Pine Hill Police Department after Wednesday afternoon’s shooting.

Jimmy Lee Tennor, 63, shot and killed Roosevelt Washington after an altercation on County Road 18 at a relative’s home.

Pine Hill Police Chief Nikisha Gailes arrived on scene quickly after the 911 call was made. She found Washington on the ground and unresponsive. A closer look revealed a gunshot wound in the back of the head.

Mark Ramsey, County Coroner, was called and put on stand-by. The victim was announced deceased shortly after.

Chief Nikisha Gailes arrested Tennor at 5:20 PM

Washington would have been 70 years old in September.

This investigation is still on-going.
