Two men from Pine Hill are now dead, after an early morning shooting Wednesday opened up a crucial investigation into a double-kill suspect. One of whom at this point is presumed to be ‘still at large’.
Chief Nikisha Gailes is receiving assistance from the 4th Judicial Circuit Task Force as the Pine Hill PD continues it’s investigation.
Among victims were 55 year old Lloyd Carson, who was found shot dead in his car early Wednesday morning.
Carson’s car was parked at the home of 49 year old Charles Mallory — who was also found shot inside the house. Mallory was shot, but still fighting for life.
Critical gunshot wounds claimed the life of Mallory later that day in a Birmingham hospital.
“Wasn’t no eyewitnesses. That’s why we was hoping Mr. Mallory would survive so we could have a good lead,” said Sgt. Donnie Floyd.
No arrests have been made in the case.
