Lucy Mack was born September 22, 1935 to the late Johnny and Willie Mack in Camden, AL. She departed this life on Friday, December 28, 2018 at her home in Camden, AL.
She confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined the St. Emanuel #1 Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend B. L. McNeil. She served on the usher board for many years and remained a faithful member until her transition.
Lucy graduated High School at Canton Bend School in Camden, AL and worked faithfully as a housekeeper and cook for many families in Wilcox County until she retired.
Lucy is honored today as a humble, kind, praying woman. She is remembered as a Mother who truly loved and was devoted to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Lafredric Mack, four brothers and three sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Betty Jo Mack, Beverly Mack and one son, Alphonso Mack all of Camden, AL; two sisters, Annie Mae Mack and Mary Sue Mack both of Camden, AL; eight grandchildren: Sedrick (Dionne) Mack, Derrick George of Huntsville, Alabama, Jessica Brown and Tranita Mack of Camden, Alabama, Kurtis (Cassandra) Bogan of Montgomery, Alabama, Angela Bogan of Atlanta, Georgia, Markel “Mookie” Gregory of Huntsville, Alabama and Sharonica Toler of Lima, Ohio; fifteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Our special neighbor and friend, Mrs. Ethel Mae Colston of Camden, AL and other love ones and church family members.
Services were held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Emanuel #1 Missionary Baptist Church in Camden. Rev. Calvin Finch Sr., Pastor, Reverend Alfred Mack, Officiating Minister and Sister Vernita Laister, Mistress of Order. Christian Memorial Funeral Home were in charge of the arrangements.
