(BREAKING NEWS) F.S. Ervin Student pulls out gun in class

Chief Nikisha Gailes and the Pine Hill PD responded to a call from F.S. Ervin Elementary at approx. 9:30 this morning about a child with a gun.

Authorities say the 12 year-old pulled out a small, B-B gun pistol to show to his friends. After being made aware, principal Florence Wiggins immediately contacted the police department.

The student did not threaten any of his classmates with the weapon. “This was not a bullying situation,” says Chief Nikisha Gailes. “The student had gotten the gun as a Christmas present or something, and was just showing it off.”

The gun was confiscated by Pine Hill P.D. and they still have it in their possession. The student, who is a minor and will remain unidentified, will be suspended for his actions.
