Funeral services for the late Willie James Coleman, owner of Coleman TV repair downtown Camden will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 11:00 am. from Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Darryl Perryman officiating; burial will follow in McIntosh Cemetery.
Willie James Coleman was born on Saturday, October 28, 1950 in Thomasville, Alabama. He was the fifth child born to the late Robert and Cora Mae Oates-Coleman.
He was educated in the Wilcox County School System. In his adult life he owned and operated Coleman TV repair located in downtown Camden for over 30 years, after his retirement he worked for Southeastern Management maintaining the properties in Camden and Dixon Mills, Alabama; he also dedicated his life as the caretaker of McIntosh Cemetery for many years after the passing of Mr. Leo Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandmothers: Maggie McNeil and Celie Hudson, brothers: Alexander (Alice) Coleman and Robert ( Flora Mae) Coleman Jr., nephew, Benjamin “Boo” Coleman Jr., aunts, uncles and friends: Sam McCreary, Clarence “Sunnyman” Primm Sr., Joseph (Marie) Anderson, Main Hook.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his son: Tommy (Jean) Morris, Kennesaw, GA; grandchildren: Raquel Monique Edwards and DeShawn Raheem Edwards, his loving and devoted baby sister: Mary Ann Coleman, Camden, AL; his big brothers: Edward (Luverne) Coleman, Mobile, AL; Thomas Earl (Helen) Coleman, Cincinnati, OH; and his baby brother: Benjamin Sr., (Helen) Coleman, Coy, AL; his uncles, Arthur Lee and Belton Dee McNeil, both in Selma, AL; a host of nieces (two whom he raised and cared for as his own daughters) Angela (Archie) Demings, Greenville, AL; and Alexis Shanta Coleman, Camden, AL; nephews and friends two devoted Marie Charley, Coy, AL; and Bo Shannon, Camden, AL.
