Richard Allen Capell of Frisco City, AL and formerly of Camden passed away at Providence Hospital on November 15, 2021. He was 81 years of age. He was born December 24, 1939 to the late S.C. and Beatrice Capell.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ann Moore Capell; his parents; parents in law Young and Marianna Moore,and three sisters: Mary Alyce Martin, Jean Roach and Sara Andrews.
Richard was a devoted husband and father. He retired after a career with Alabama River Pulp and enjoyed woodworking often times sharing his handiwork with family and friends. He loved spending time with family and especially grandchildren. He was a gentle but strong man of Christian faith. He was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Frisco City where he served as deacon, teacher and in numerous leadership roles.
His survivors include four daughters: Pam Capell Till (Mike), Lynne Capell Felts (Sam), Kay Capell Small and Laura Capell Ledkins (Travis). He is also survived by his sister Jackie Capell Sessions (David), 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services celebrating his life were held Thursday, November 18, 2021 at First Baptist Church Frisco City AL with Rev. Mark McCullough officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Interment followed at Capell Cemetary in Pebble Hill, AL.
Pallbearers were Mike Till, Sam Felts, J.C. Small, Travis Ledkins, Al Black and Ryan Mueller.
