Robert Rayford Felts, Jr. (Ray) died unexpectedly in a car accident on June 30, 2022, in Gulf Shores, AL. He was born October 7th, 1968, in Selma, AL the son of Robert Rayford, Sr. and Willie Mae Smith Felts Campbell.
Ray was a graduate of Wilcox Academy. After graduation, Ray attended the University of South Alabama where he met the love of his life, Connie Elizabeth Cook. They were married on August 22, 1992. They resided in Gulf Shores where Ray was a contractor, homebuilder, and all-around repair man. Ray was known for his dark eyes, bright and sweet smile.
In addition to his father, Ray was preceded by his sister, Delores Lowe and stepfather, Archie Donald Campbell. Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Beth; son, Vance Felts; daughter, Emily Holder (William); granddaughter, Ellington Rose. He is also survived by two nieces, Bonnie Martens and Olivia Lowe.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 8, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale, AL. A visitation was held one hour prior to the service at Mack Funeral Home. A graveside service was held at Society Hill Cemetery in Camden, AL at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Camden Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 605, Camden, AL 36726 or to the Fort Morgan Volunteer Fire Department, 12105 State Highway 180, Gulf Shores, AL 36542.
