Mrs. Cynthia Rose Stillwell age 85, a resident of Deatsville, AL departed this life on Sunday, May 14, 2023, after a short illness. She was surrounded by her family.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. from Brookside Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jerry May officiating.
She was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana, where she met and married the love of her life, Devon Stillwell. They later moved to Camden and Millbrook, AL where they raised their girls. Mrs. Stillwell was a much loved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mrs. Stillwell was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick Edward Strader, Jr. and Bessie Lucinda Switzer Strader, her husband of 56 years, James Devon Stillwell and her sister Betty Graves.
She was a homemaker and a member of Millbrook First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughters Deborah (Kelly) Johnson, Leigh Anne (Kenny) Childree, brother Buddy Strader, sister Freda Brem, four grandchildren, Amanda (Jeremy) Borchardt, Christopher (Jill) Johnson, Kacey Childree and Brantley Childree, four great grandchildren William Borchardt, James Borchardt, Zack Johnson and Finn Johnson, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Cerebral Palsy, Ronald McDonald House, or charity of your choice in her memory.
