Alfa Insurance prepared for claims ahead of active hurricane season predictions

The National Hurricane Center is predicting the most active hurricane season since 2012 for the Southeast this year, and Alfa Insurance® wants customers to know they’re ready to respond to claims if needed. The Atlantic Hurricane Season begins June 1. “We’re hopeful these predictions won’t culminate in severe weather events, but Alfa® has comprehensive Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans in place to ensure we can deliver on our promise to policyholders should storms arise,” Alfa Insurance President Jimmy Parnell said. “We are also equipped with two 38-foot Mobile Response Units that can be deployed to impacted areas, and our adjusters have the technology necessary to process claims on the spot.” Parnell said Alfa’s presence throughout the states it serves should help reduce residents’ weather-related concerns.  “Our agents, adjusters and customer service representatives live in the communities they serve, which helps expedite our ability to handle claims and, in turn, exceed customer expectations,” Parnell said. “Alfa has a proud tradition of providing outstanding customer service, and I’m confident we have talented, caring staff who are ready to help whenever needed.”  To help policyholders prepare for hurricane season, Alfa has updated its Severe Storm Center page with a printable storm preparation checklist, a guide to understanding the claims process, and tips on how policyholders can protect their properties. If impacted by storms, customers may report claims to local Alfa offices, online at, through the Alfa2Go mobile app, or by calling the Customer Resource Center at 800-964-2532.  Alfa and its affiliates provide insurance and other financial services in 11 states. Alfa Life Insurance Co. currently has more than $27 billion in force, and Alfa’s property and casualty companies service more than 1 million policies.
