A sunny Thursday afternoon quickly turned south for a Sunny South man and two others, when the truck they’d used to launch the boat lost it’s traction, and sunk to the bottom of the lake.
The truck was completely submerged when a wrecking crew arrived to retrieve it. One of the fisherman thought quickly to attach a string to the sinking vehicle with a bottle tied to the other end, acting as a “marker”.
Wreckers arrived soon after and rescued the sunken vehicle.
Fortunately, nobody was harmed.
