James Roger Sheffield

James Roger Sheffield, age 74, of Pine Hill, Alabama died December 12, 2025 at his home. He was born February 20, 1951 in Arlington, Alabama to James Pittman and Ruth Annette Sheffield. He was retired from Alabama River Pulp and was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed coon hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Sheffield; daughter, Tessa Sheffield Foote; step daughter, Tammy Hyatt King; brother, Billy L. Criswell (Emma); sister, Jane E. Britt; fourteen grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, James “Jamie” Roger Sheffield; step son, Ronald David Hyatt, Jr.; his parents, and sisters, Mary Criswell Taylor and Linda Criswell Etheridge.
Funeral services were held at Pine Hill Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Claude Agee and Wesley Hicks officiating. Burial followed at Pine Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Trent Sheffield, Ryan Langley, Braeden Roberson, David Wright, Matthew Wright, and Leon Dobbs.
Honorary pallbearers were Wade Henson, Tommy Wright, Jerry Wright, and Clyde Ray Pearson.
