Ann Morriss Rutherford Lambert

Ann Morriss Rutherford Lambert departed this life, peacefully in her home while surrounded by family, on Monday, April 24, 2023 at the age of 76.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 beginning at 11:00 a.m. from the First Presbyterian Church in Camden with Reverend John Boles officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at River Ridge Cemetery in Franklin, Alabama.
She was born on April 20, 1947 to Elizabeth Harper Rutherford and Leslie Johnson Rutherford. She grew up in Franklin, Alabama located in North Monroe County and later moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where she completed her last two years of high school and her first two years of college at Peace College. After two years at Peace College, she transferred to Auburn University where she graduated. She was a resident of Camden, Alabama for 50 years, where she loved to entertain her family and friends, volunteer in many different capacities, host bridge club, and share her gift and love of cooking and decorating with freshly cut flowers. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Camden.
Ann Morriss was preceded in death by her mother and father, Leslie Johnson Rutherford and Elizabeth H. Hybart, and her step-father, John Paul Hybart. She is survived by her son, Leslie Lambert, daughter-in-law, Amanda Vick Lambert, grandson, Midshipmen Miller Rutherford Lambert, and granddaughter, Emily Harper Lambert. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Leslie Rutherford Page, of Magnolia Springs, Alabama and a niece, Dr. Elizabeth Miller, of Asheville, North Carolina, as well as many other special family members who were very dear to her.
