Henry Franklin Jordan of Kimbrough, AL passed from his earthly life and entered his eternal home on January 15, 2024, while at Crowne Healthcare of Thomasville. He was born September 4, 1931, in Thomaston, AL to William Henry “Jim” and Daisy Sealy Jordan. He was a member of Kimbrough Methodist Church.
He moved to Pine Apple with his family and graduated high school from Moore Academy in 1950. He joined the Air Force in February of 1951 and was stationed in Germany until being discharged December 1, 1954. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was a humble and simple family man, a servant of the Lord, and a caregiver to many. He truly loved the outdoors, his farm and cows, and genealogy.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gladys Olene Mullins Jordan, a daughter, Beverly Annette Jordan Dozier (Billy), two grandsons, Slater Allen Dozier and Jordan Daniel Dozier, and a sister, Velma Annette Jordan (L.J.) Britain.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Morris Lamar (Billie) Jordan and Jasper Donald Jordan, and a sister, Ruby Faye Jordan (Ruben) Ojeda.
Funeral services were held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home Friday, January 19, 2024, at 11:00 am with Rev. Reba Wiley and Rev. Dawn Bond officiating. Burial followed at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Arlington, AL.
Active pallbearers Slater Dozier, Jordan Dozier, Mark Jordan, Larry Jones, Adam McGilberry, Todd McGilberry, Brady Mendenhall, and Larry Huckabee.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill Jordan, Donald Lee Thompson, Ruben Ojeda, Pam Sheehan, Ann Morgan, Gayle McGilberry, Ken & Margaret Agee, Lucy Grey & Billy George Huckabee, Patti & Johnny Evans, Drs. Frank & Daveta Dozier, Crown Rehabilitation and Staff, Southern Care Hospice Staff, Lawrence & Francine Champion, and Steve Green.
Memorials may be made to County Line Baptist Church, Alpha Women’s Resource Center, or Clarke County Animal Shelter.
