The funeral arrangements for Paul Luker, Sr. are as follows: Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville, AL on Thursday June 27th at 10 o’clock the funeral service will follow at 11 o’clock. Pastor William Faircloth will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville, AL
Pallbearers will be Andrew Wilkerson, Josh Wilkerson, Zach Wilkerson, Buddy Kinard, Wyatt Williams and Jacob Luker.
Paul Luker, Sr. passed away on June 21, 2024 at his home in Alexander City, AL. Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gladys Luker, parents John and Lucille, first wife Eleanor and brother Clinton Luker. Paul leaves behind four siblings; Pauline, Richard, Louise, and Phillip, two children; Angela (Buddy) Kinard, and Paul Luker Jr., six adoring grandchildren; Amanda (Alan) Whitaker, Andrew (Lauren) Wilkerson, Josh (Billie) Wilkerson, Justin Kinard, Zach (Emily) Wilkerson, Sylvia (Case) Wilkerson, ten great grandchildren and honorary grandchildren Jackson Williams, Wyatt Williams and Julianna Olsen. In Paul’s life he wore many hats; son, brother, father, grand-father, great-grandfather, and friend. There wasn’t a single one of those titles that he didn’t do well. In his early life he was a lineman, EMT, radiology technician, respiratory therapist, truck driver and anything he thought he could learn. Paul was a man with big dreams, a big personality and an even bigger capacity to love. Paul showed what it meant to live with a servant’s heart in his everyday life. Paul was an avid gardener, hunter and unequivocally adoring grand-father and great grandfather in his later life. Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
