James Anthony Beck

James Anthony Beck age 67 of Lamison, AL died May 18, 2025 at his home. He was born September 24, 1957 in Yellow Bluff, AL to Woodie Earl and Mabel Kirk Beck. He was a retired paper mill worker and attended Thomaston Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Marla Beck; father, Woodie Beck; son, James Anthony “Jabo” Beck, Jr.; daughters, Jessica Bowden (David) and Jami McManus (Chad); step children, Crystal & Josh Daniels, Brandy & Whitt Daniels, and Bryan & Wendy Hurst; brother, Kenneth Glenn “Ken” Beck; sister, Barbara Ann Meeks; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Kirk Beck; grandson, Gavin Beck Bowden; and brother, Woodie Earl “Boo Boo” Beck III.
Funeral services were held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mike Snow and Rev. Benny Harrison officiating. Burial followed at Thomaston Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were John Patrick Beck, Vaiden Beck, Joseph Beck, Gabe Beck, Trey Beck, and Hudson McManus.
